Security Officer - Security & Loss Prevention (SLP)

Sitics Logistic Solutions Pvt. Ltd. provides logistics and supply chain services, specializing in operational and Security & Loss Prevention (SLP) support for leading e-commerce and supply chain clients across India. Acting as a service partner to Meesho, Sitics manages Security & Loss Prevention operations at the Meesho Sort Centre in Madurai, ensuring asset protection, risk mitigation, safety compliance, and overall operational security.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day security and loss prevention tasks at the Sort Centre, focusing on preventing theft, pilferage, unauthorized access, process violations, and security incidents.
• Conduct regular floor patrols and perform comprehensive security checks.
• Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and validate footage as necessary.
• Manage access control, frisking procedures, and monitor entry and exit points effectively.
• Investigate incidents involving shipment losses, shortages, suspicious behavior, and security breaches.
• Prepare incident reports promptly and escalate significant findings to higher authorities.
• Maintain accurate security registers, records, and documentation related to SLP activities.
• Detect deviations from established SOPs and identify gaps in security processes.
• Collaborate closely with Sitics SLP team, Meesho Operations team, and other stakeholders to address security concerns.
• Support emergency preparedness by participating in safety drills and incident management.
• Recommend and assist in implementing corrective and preventive security measures.
• Uphold confidentiality, professional integrity, vigilance, and ethical conduct at all times.

Eligibility and Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in Security, Loss Prevention, E-commerce Logistics, Warehousing, Sort Centre operations, or Supply Chain Security is required.
• Strong observation and analytical abilities are essential.
• Familiarity with incident reporting procedures and basic investigation techniques.
• Understand principles of access control, frisking, CCTV monitoring, and loss prevention strategies.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic computer skills are necessary.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and security reporting software is advantageous.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
• Formal certifications or training in Security, Investigations, or Loss Prevention is a plus.
