Key Responsibilities

• Handle incoming phone calls and fax requests to coordinate patient outpatient test appointments.
• Perform pre-registration tasks for scheduled patients, ensuring all necessary provider orders are properly documented and approved.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered service that promotes quality and safety.
• Apply knowledge of medical terminology and insurance payer systems to support patient interactions.
• Work autonomously with minimal supervision, managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Required Qualifications

• At least one year of prior experience in Radiology Scheduling or Patient Access roles.
• Understanding of insurance payor types including commercial, government, and third-party providers.
• High School Diploma or GED certification.
• Previous office experience within healthcare, familiar with CPT and ICD-10 coding principles.
• Strong multitasking and time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically in a healthcare setting focused on patient scheduling.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) platforms.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills to enhance patient engagement.
• Additional relevant certifications in patient access or scheduling procedures.
