About CAE and Role Overview
CAE is pioneering the Future Air Mission Training System (F-AMTS) aimed at revolutionizing Australia's air mission training through immersive, cyber-secure virtual environments. This role as a Project Planner & Scheduler within the project management office is critical in constructing and maintaining detailed project schedules. The incumbent will monitor project progress and prepare vital reports for management.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update detailed project plans capturing scope, logical sequences, key milestones, and critical paths across all project stages.
- Handle multiple project timelines and priorities simultaneously.
- Plan and coordinate resource needs, including long lead items, ensuring projects adhere to schedules and budgets.
- Collaborate closely with Project and Program Managers to align all team members and oversee on-time task completion.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in project scheduling and planning.
- Expertise with scheduling tools like Microsoft Project and Open Plan Professional.
- Eligibility to acquire and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance, requiring Australian citizenship.
- Familiarity with project management platforms such as JIRA and Monday.com.
Preferred qualifications include Defence industry experience, knowledge of project management methodologies, and competency in reporting tools such as Tableau, Excel, or SQL.
