SAP BTP Developer

Role Overview

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an SAP BTP Developer for its Vizag location. The role focuses on building cloud-based solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform to support manufacturing and supply chain operations, while working across integration, automation, and application development activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and release applications on SAP BTP that support manufacturing and supply chain workflows.
• Create cloud-native solutions using SAP BTP capabilities such as Cloud Foundry, Kyma, and ABAP Environment.
• Develop side-by-side extensions for SAP S/4HANA and other ERP platforms.
• Use SAP Integration Suite to connect MES, ERP, and external applications smoothly.
• Build APIs and microservices with SAP CAP along with Node.js or Java.
• Develop Fiori/UI5 interfaces to improve the user experience for manufacturing processes.
• Review business needs related to production planning, logistics, and procurement and convert them into cloud-based technical solutions.
• Apply SAP BTP services such as Workflow, Business Rules, and Event Mesh to automate processes.
• Work with SAP HANA Cloud for data modeling, CDS views, and performance optimization.
• Implement secure access controls through SAP Identity Services.
• Carry out unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing to validate application quality.
• Investigate and fix issues in production and hybrid environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps-oriented deployment practices.
• Integrate SAP and non-SAP systems through APIs, OData, and middleware components.
• Follow enterprise security, governance, and cloud-compliance standards.
• Partner with functional consultants, architects, and other stakeholders across teams.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for applications, integrations, and related processes.

Technical Requirements

• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP development and related cloud services.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP Integration Suite and API-based integration.
• Experience with SAP CAP, Node.js, Java, Fiori/UI5, and HANA Cloud is preferred.
• Ability to work with authentication, authorization, and enterprise security controls.
• Familiarity with testing, troubleshooting, deployment pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to manufacturing domain processes is important for this role.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities are expected.
• Required certifications include SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite Certification, and ITIL Foundation.

Education

Candidates must have completed 15 years of full-time education.
