Role Overview
The Sales & Revenue Data Analyst acts as the core analytical resource for the revenue division. This role involves transforming complex datasets into clear and actionable insights that fuel growth. Responsibilities encompass comprehensive reporting and analysis covering the entire revenue funnel, including pipeline management, forecasting, client retention, and marketing effectiveness. The ideal candidate is adept at narrative data presentation and skilled in leveraging visualization tools for meaningful insight delivery, thriving at the crossroads of data analytics and strategic commercial planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage pipeline reporting and revenue forecasting, collaborating closely with sales leadership to monitor performance against goals and identify potential risks and opportunities early on.
- Develop and maintain pricing and deal evaluation frameworks assessing deal structures, margins, and competitiveness for both new and existing client engagements.
- Provide internal reporting that supports renewal, retention, and expansion discussions, equipping account teams with the necessary data to make informed decisions.
- Examine marketing performance metrics to analyze channel efficiency, lead quality, and overall contribution to the sales pipeline, guiding budget allocation and prioritization.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to translate complex business inquiries into structured analytical outputs and present results effectively to various stakeholders.
- Design and automate dashboards and reports to guarantee the revenue team accesses timely and accurate metrics on performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to verify that the underlying data pipelines and models sustaining revenue analytics remain accurate and properly maintained.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of five years in revenue analytics, sales operations, business intelligence, or similar roles with complete ownership over analytics projects.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities to simplify complex analyses for both commercial and non-technical audiences.
- Advanced skills in data visualization tools such as Omni (preferred), Looker, Domo, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Proficient in SQL for extracting, manipulating, and analyzing medium to large datasets.
- Experience using Python or R for analytical and modeling purposes.
- Proven track record building forecasting models and pipeline reporting frameworks within a B2B environment.
- Strong detail orientation with a preference for data-driven decision-making.
- Remote work is standard; willingness to travel to team gatherings when necessary.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with CRM platforms like HubSpot or Salesforce and linking CRM data to analytical processes.
- Familiarity with AWS services such as RDS or Athena.
- Background in marketing attribution modeling or evaluating customer lifetime value.
- Knowledge of industries related to insurance, participation, ticketing, or travel.
