Role Overview: Sales Manager

The Sales Manager will be responsible for acquiring and nurturing relationships with single-outlet independent restaurants within an assigned area. Acting as the key liaison, you will deeply understand restaurant operations and challenges, helping partners enhance their orders, visibility, and customer engagement through consultative and field-oriented approaches. This position demands adaptability, resourcefulness, and a genuine commitment to partner success, providing an excellent foundation for advancing your career.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage a designated geographic area, cultivating strong, productive partnerships with restaurant clients.
• Engage intensively in the field, conducting face-to-face visits that include product demonstrations, ROI evaluations, and illustrating mutually beneficial collaborations.
• Utilize consultative selling techniques by assessing restaurant requirements concerning current channels, delivery logistics, marketing budgets, and business objectives, positioning Swiggy's offerings as tailored solutions.
• Handle the complete relationship lifecycle monthly—pitching, negotiating, activating, and supporting restaurant partners.
• Employ data-driven strategies to monitor adoption, diagnose growth limitations, resolve issues, and adjust plans accordingly.
• Be accountable for revenue targets within your territory, maintaining oversight of sales pipeline and conversion metrics.
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, or other spreadsheet tools for managing daily data and reports.
• Conduct market research to stay informed on restaurant trends, competition, and local market dynamics, sharing field insights to influence product development.
• Participate in 80 to 90 in-person meetings with restaurant partners each month.

Candidate Profile

• Possess 0 to 2 years of experience in B2B sales, field sales, or business development, preferably within FMCG, food/beverage, or hospitality sectors.
• Have a proven track record of meeting or surpassing sales goals and managing pipelines independently.
• Understand that restaurant businesses operate round-the-clock, requiring ownership and proactive growth management of assigned partners.
• Exhibit strong data skills, particularly in Excel, including the ability to create pivot tables, use VLOOKUP, and develop dashboards without assistance.
• Hold a postgraduate degree preferably in marketing or sales.
