Retail Sales Operation Supervisor

Overview

The Retail Sales Operation Supervisor oversees the retail sales functions, supervises store personnel, coordinates merchandise shipping and receiving, and resolves daily operational challenges. The role focuses on enhancing customer experience and driving the company’s revenue growth, contributing to the overall success and expansion of Petromin Corporation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine physical inventory verifications for vehicles, parts, and accessories to maintain stock accuracy and detect discrepancies.
• Use inventory management systems to monitor real-time stock levels including new and used vehicles, categorized by model, trim, and color.
• Maintain oversight of commonly replaced parts, performance upgrades, and decorative accessories inventory.
• Analyze sales data and customer demand patterns to forecast inventory needs, preventing shortages or excess stock.
• Coordinate with distribution centers to place timely orders for vehicles and communicate stock requirements effectively.
• Create and execute plans to sell slow-moving inventory, employing methods like targeted discounts, bundled deals, and clearance sales.
• Manage showroom operations by overseeing staff activities, ensuring optimal store conditions, and delegating tasks such as shelf arrangement, visual merchandising, and cleaning of the premises and vehicles.
• Participate in recruitment processes including interviewing and selecting retail staff that fit the company culture.
• Oversee staff scheduling to ensure sufficient coverage during busy hours and efficient allocation of resources based on customer flow.
• Monitor and support staff in managing customer queries professionally.
• Supervise daily store operations enforcing opening/closing protocols, proper cash handling, and security practices.
• Lead cost-effective management of company resources in retail operations.
• Collaborate with senior management in budget formulation and financial forecasting for retail activities.
• Keep track of budget spending, detect overspending, and implement corrective measures swiftly.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities through process improvements, contract renegotiations, or innovative strategies.
• Promote a customer-centric culture, create programs to enhance customer satisfaction and engagement, and establish service standards.
• Assist customers with financing and purchase options tailored to their needs.
• Oversee development of strategies addressing customer issues, improving satisfaction, and building loyalty.
• Ensure customer service standards are met and complaints are resolved effectively through organized customer care services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in retail sales operations or inventory management.
• Proficiency in both English and Arabic languages.
• Certified Professional Sales Manager (CPSM) certification is preferred but optional.
