Role Overview

As a Retail Sales Associate at Goobe's Book Republic in Bengaluru, you will handle a variety of store operations to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning while helping customers and fostering a welcoming environment in this unique underground bookstore.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist customers by addressing their needs and inquiries professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness by dusting books regularly.
• Organize books systematically to enhance customer experience and inventory management.
• Update store inventory records accurately and timely.
• Prepare and pack orders for shipment, including handling postal errands.
• Generate sales, particularly targeting corporate clients.
• Perform all tasks vital to the successful operation of the store.

Candidate Requirements

• Proficiency in English communication.
• Skills in using Excel spreadsheets.
• A passion for reading with the ability to distinguish fiction from nonfiction genres.
• Punctuality and a friendly, positive demeanor.

Compensation and Working Hours

The remuneration involves a probation period of three months with a monthly salary of INR 20,000 plus incentives, increasing to INR 25,000 plus incentives starting the fourth month.

Working hours are from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with a 5.5 day workweek. Weekends are required, with Monday off and Tuesday mornings half day off.
