Remote Healthcare Advisor

Overview

Bright Hire Group is looking for empathetic and knowledgeable Healthcare Advisors to join our fully remote team. The role involves assisting individuals by providing clear guidance on healthcare services, helping them navigate various options, and connecting them to the appropriate resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to inbound calls, emails, and online queries from patients or members seeking healthcare information.
• Deliver accurate and clear information about healthcare services, benefits, and related resources.
• Help individuals understand their healthcare plans, details of provider networks, and available treatment choices.
• Support patients in scheduling appointments and obtaining referrals as necessary.
• Maintain precise documentation of all interactions in designated systems.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards and company policies at all times.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve patient concerns and enhance their overall experience.
• Stay informed about current healthcare regulations, organizational policies, and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Public Health, or closely related fields is preferred.
• At least two years of experience in healthcare customer service, patient support, care coordination, medical office roles, insurance, or similar healthcare-related environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with the capability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is advantageous.
• Good understanding of the U.S. healthcare system, health insurance matters, or patient care processes is desirable.
