Role overview
Uniphar Group is hiring a Relief Pharmacy Technician for its stores in the Clonmel area. This is a permanent, full-time position based in store, with a 40-hour working week.
The dispensary operates during the following hours: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, with shorter hours on Sundays. The current team includes a Supervising Pharmacist, Retail Store Manager, Relief Pharmacists, Technicians, and Sales Assistants. The store handles a manageable range of items and services.
What the role involves
- Work carefully and consistently, with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.
- Support the pharmacist by preparing and dispensing medicines in a professional and compassionate way.
- Monitor stock levels and place medicine orders according to store needs.
- Prepare blister packs and handle claim processing and tracking.
- Assist and report to the pharmacist in a busy dispensary environment.

Candidate profile
- Previous experience in a busy dispensary is helpful, though newly qualified technicians are also encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of McLernons MPS is beneficial.
- An IPU Pharmacy Technician course or a Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies would be an advantage.
