About the Role
This position represents a partnership opportunity with a client company seeking a Regional People Services Manager to lead the Eastern Canada region. The role focuses on shaping workforce strategy and elevating organizational performance across a broad, multi-site regional footprint. As a strategic human resources partner, you will collaborate with leadership teams to build robust talent pipelines, enhance employee engagement, and drive impactful business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with regional and district leaders to formulate strategic people plans that align with business goals, operational efficiency, and financial targets.
- Identify and nurture internal talent for future leadership roles, developing strong succession pipelines.
- Advise leaders on talent assessment, succession planning, performance management, and employee growth initiatives.
- Enhance organizational capabilities through effective use of talent management systems, processes, and analytics.
- Analyze workforce metrics and talent data to forecast needs and uncover growth opportunities.
- Design and facilitate training programs aimed at strengthening individual and team competencies, with attention to French-language materials.
- Coach leadership on the execution of learning initiatives and successful role transitions.
- Monitor and improve training effectiveness by gathering feedback and adjusting materials accordingly.
- Drive initiatives to improve employee engagement by linking workplace culture, team dynamics, and business results.
- Work with employee relations to handle workplace issues, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
- Support recruitment strategies through external talent pipeline development and candidate selection aligned with organizational culture.
- Engage actively in leadership hiring processes to promote diversity and inclusion.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR best practices across multiple locations.
Candidate Profile
- Post-secondary education in Business, Human Resources, or a related discipline, or comparable professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an HR generalist, people leader, or operational HR partner within a multi-site context.
- Proven ability to deliver measurable business impact through talent management, engagement, and workforce programs.
- In-depth knowledge of talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and organizational development.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication, coaching, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to provide thoughtful challenges and strategic insights to stakeholders respectfully.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Comfort with HR technology, systems, reporting tools, and digital platforms.
- Analytical skills to interpret data trends and translate findings into strategies.
- Proactive problem-solving with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Cultural agility to connect with diverse individuals and perspectives.
- Readiness to travel 25-50%, including domestic and occasional international trips, with access to a personal vehicle.
