Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site hiring role in Coimbatore for a Recruiter focused on blue-collar hiring. The person in this position will identify, evaluate, and shortlist candidates for operational roles through field outreach, local contacts, job portals, and referral networks. The role includes conducting first-round discussions, coordinating with hiring leaders and operations teams, and arranging final interviews or skill/trade assessments.

Key Duties

• Source suitable candidates for blue-collar openings through community outreach, local networks, field activity, and online hiring channels.
• Screen applications and conduct preliminary interviews to assess fit for operational roles.
• Work closely with managers and operations stakeholders to move candidates through the hiring process.
• Set up final interview rounds and trade tests where required.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and keep recruitment databases up to date.
• Track recruitment progress and hiring-related metrics.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with applicants to ensure a respectful candidate journey.
• Develop connections with local institutions, communities, and referral sources to support ongoing hiring needs.
• Assist with onboarding-related activities.
• Follow company policies and applicable labor rules during the recruitment process.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong ability to source and build networks for blue-collar recruitment, especially through local communities, institutions, and employment channels.
• Experience in interviewing, screening, and evaluating candidates for operational positions.
• Good verbal and interpersonal communication for coordinating with candidates, managers, and external contacts.
• Basic record-keeping and reporting skills for candidate tracking and recruitment updates.
• Awareness of ethical hiring practices and basic labor law requirements relevant to blue-collar hiring.
• Strong organization and time management skills to manage several open roles and deadlines at once.
• Prior exposure to volume hiring or blue-collar recruitment in education, training, manufacturing, or service environments is an advantage.
• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in any discipline is preferred, though relevant recruitment experience may substitute for formal education.
