Role Summary
This is a remote contract position for a Recruiter at Kainotomic. You will support the complete hiring process, from sourcing and reviewing applicants to screening talent, conducting first-round interviews, and coordinating the next stages with hiring managers and company leadership.
The role covers candidates from technical, creative, operational, and marketplace-related backgrounds. You will assist with posting openings, tracking applicants, maintaining organized records, and keeping communication with candidates timely, clear, and professional throughout the hiring journey.
You will work closely with leadership to understand staffing needs, refine job descriptions, assess candidate fit, and share insights on talent supply, compensation expectations, and broader market trends. Your daily work may also include building talent pipelines, supporting outreach efforts, organizing candidate details, and helping attract diverse, high-quality people aligned with the company’s mission.
Responsibilities
- Manage the hiring process end to end, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination.
- Identify and engage strong candidates across technical, operational, creative, sales, marketing, and startup-oriented roles.
- Use applicant tracking systems, networking platforms, spreadsheets, job boards, and related tools to keep candidate pipelines organized.
- Communicate with candidates in a professional, responsive, and consistent manner.
- Work with leadership to clarify role needs, improve job descriptions, and evaluate candidate alignment.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Support outreach campaigns and help organize candidate information.
- Contribute to a smooth, respectful, and positive candidate experience.
- Share observations on market availability, compensation expectations, and hiring trends.
- Promote inclusive and non-discriminatory hiring practices.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end recruiting activities such as sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate communication, and offer coordination.
- Ability to evaluate candidates across a wide range of functions, including technical, operational, creative, sales, marketing, and startup roles.
- Comfort using applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn, job boards, networking platforms, spreadsheets, and similar digital tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to write or refine clear job postings and assess fit based on skills, experience, communication style, and role alignment.
- Strong organization and attention to detail, especially when managing multiple roles, deadlines, follow-ups, and remote communication.
- Commitment to inclusive hiring and a positive candidate experience.
- Interest in AI, startups, marketplaces, software development, creator economies, or the future of work is preferred.
- Prior recruiting experience in-house, through an agency, in a startup, or freelance is strongly preferred.
- Experience hiring for technical roles, AI-related roles, developers, freelancers, contractors, or marketplace talent is an advantage.
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field is helpful but not mandatory; equivalent experience is acceptable.

The recruiter will play an important part in building the talent base for an AI-native marketplace and will contribute to the company’s hiring systems, candidate experience, and long-term talent strategy.
