R&D Assistant (Food Science/Food Technology)

Job Overview

Our respected client in the manufacturing sector is recruiting a permanent R&D Assistant to join their team located in the northern region of Singapore. The role demands a Monday to Friday work schedule, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Compensation includes a base salary plus overtime pay, annual wage supplement, and performance bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in research and development by formulating and developing new products, as well as their applications.
• Create novel product variations and innovative application methods for marketing and promotional projects.
• Perform quality evaluations on both finished goods and raw materials, involving sensory and visual inspections.
• Analyze and compare existing and alternative ingredients to optimize product formulations.
• Ensure the R&D laboratory and workspace remain clean and efficient.
• Support compliance activities such as adhering to safety protocols and maintaining documentation.
• Compile and submit daily activity logs and progress updates.

Requirements

• Possess at minimum a Diploma or ITE certification in Culinary Arts, Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of one year’s experience in a similar role is preferred, though training will be provided for candidates without direct prior experience.
