Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical / Civil / Electrical)

Position Overview

This is a permanent Quantity Surveyor role based in Kochi, Kerala, with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical disciplines. The position is with a leading engineering and consulting organization and involves work connected to Oil & Gas as well as EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out quantity surveying and support project cost estimation.
• Prepare BOQs and perform quantity take-offs accurately.
• Assist with procurement activities and vendor-related coordination.
• Handle contract administration tasks and related documentation.
• Contribute to cost planning and keep budget tracking under control.
• Support material reconciliation to align usage with project requirements.
• Manage variations and change orders in a structured manner.
• Evaluate vendors and subcontractors from a commercial standpoint.
• Examine drawings, specifications, and tender documents for commercial and quantity-related inputs.
• Work closely with project, procurement, and commercial teams to keep execution aligned.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering is required.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying is necessary.
• Prior exposure to Oil & Gas, EPC, or industrial construction environments is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of BOQ preparation, cost estimation, procurement, and commercial management is expected.
• Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively across teams are important.
