Quality Control Manager - Medium Voltage Electrical Products

Overview

The Quality Control Manager will oversee the end-to-end quality assurance processes in the production of medium voltage electrical products, ensuring the highest standards consistent with the company's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. This position requires the development and enforcement of quality standards, conducting inspections, addressing product nonconformities, and leading continuous improvements within the manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and continuously enhance quality standards through direct sample inspections during production and random checks on finished goods.
• Collaborate closely with relevant teams to document and implement procedures, forms, and guidelines for systematic measurement, evaluation, and reporting of quality and reliability data.
• Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the quality management system using key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Apply statistical methods to monitor product and process quality performance.
• Investigate and respond to customer complaints relating to service or product quality, proposing necessary corrective measures.
• Take immediate action when encountering unsafe or substandard quality conditions.
• Support development, execution, and maintenance of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policies and collaborate with procurement for supplier quality requirements.
• Implement and monitor control systems and documentation for quality assurance.
• Lead internal quality initiatives to cultivate a quality-focused mindset among management and staff, including driving ISO certification efforts in cooperation with Business Unit Managers.
• Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing employees while managing underperformers effectively in alignment with company policies.
• Ensure fair and unbiased treatment of team members, assessing performance based on business results.
• Manage the delegation of authority matrix according to company standards.
• Take full accountability for quality operations, proactively anticipating and addressing potential issues with timely and informed decisions.
• Ensure delivery of results on schedule, meeting quality and cost expectations, and making a significant impact on the area of responsibility.
• Translate corporate objectives into actionable business plans, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Oversee budget control and optimize expenses to maintain cost efficiency.
• Develop the organizational structure reflecting current and future operational needs, ensuring clear job roles and descriptions.
• Create and improve process documentation, policies, and procedures, and drive automation opportunities.
• Demonstrate proficiency with relevant IT solutions and promote their use throughout the department.
• Embrace new technologies, managerial frameworks, and business models to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 6 to 10 years of relevant work experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
