Role Overview

The Purchase Head / Executive will handle end-to-end buying activities for gearbox-related materials and support smooth production by ensuring the right items are sourced on time, at the right cost, and to the required quality standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange procurement of new parts and outsourced materials for gearbox casting and related production needs, including castings, forgings, machined components, bearings, keys, circlips, oil seals, hardware, and packing boxes.
• Build and sustain supplier relationships while negotiating pricing, commercial terms, and delivery timelines to keep sourcing efficient and economical.
• Track inventory levels closely so material shortages do not disrupt gearbox assembly or production flow.
• Check that all purchased items comply with the quality requirements and specifications used in gearbox manufacturing.
• Apply cost-reduction approaches to improve procurement efficiency and lower material spend.
• Manage the complete purchase cycle from placing orders through receipt of goods, including follow-up and issue resolution.
• Keep up with market movements, supplier strengths, and alternative sourcing opportunities to strengthen purchasing decisions.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation for purchase orders, supplier agreements, and material details.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to align purchases with material needs and manufacturing schedules.
