Project Manager

Role Overview

Ganas MFG is hiring an experienced Millwork Project Manager in Detroit, Michigan to oversee custom fabrication projects from the initial concept stage through final installation. This role is best suited for someone with a solid foundation in architecture, commercial construction, or millwork, along with strong communication skills and the ability to handle several projects at once while keeping quality, budget, and timelines on track.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee every stage of millwork projects, including estimating, budgeting, planning schedules, purchasing materials, managing production, and coordinating installation.
• Act as the main contact for clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams.
• Develop productive working relationships with vendors and subcontractors to support smooth project delivery.
• Review architectural drawings and specifications to create detailed execution plans.
• Work closely with engineering and production teams so the final fabrication matches the design intent and can be built effectively.
• Track project progress and step in early to resolve issues that could cause delays or extra costs.
• Visit job sites to evaluate site conditions, confirm measurements, and supervise installation work.
• Partner with the project team to maintain quality control standards.
• Prepare and manage project records such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout documents.
• Run project meetings and give stakeholders regular progress updates.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 2–5 years of project management experience in millwork, casework, or commercial construction.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Practical knowledge of millwork materials, fabrication methods, and installation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and/or shop drawings.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong organization and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, including direct interaction with design teams, general contractors, and installation crews.
• Capability to manage multiple custom millwork projects in a fast-moving environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay is based on experience.
