Join a mission-driven team transforming how design is experienced worldwide in the education sector. This role operates within the education department office at state level and supports initiatives bringing creativity and collaboration to classrooms across India.

About the Education Team

The India Canva Education team focuses on embedding creative visual communication and collaborative learning in schools nationally. They partner with state governments, national education bodies, and large private school networks to expand Canva Education as a safe, inclusive, and effective teaching and learning platform. Team expertise spans education policy, teacher development, and edtech deployment aligning with priorities like NEP 2020, foundational learning, multilingual teaching environments, and digital equality.

Role Summary

The position is based at the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) office in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, contributing actively to the Project Management Unit. The Project Manager will oversee the deployment and scaling of Canva Education programs in government and private schools throughout the state, acting as the local liaison enhancing user adoption and aligning partnerships with educational policies including NEP 2020.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Canva Education initiatives alongside the State Government, SCERTs, teacher training bodies, and NGOs.
  • Be the main contact for ground-level stakeholders such as school leaders, DIETs, CRCs/BRCs, and master trainers.
  • Assist in planning and conducting training for teachers, school administrators, and partner organizations.
  • Work closely with internal teams covering Partnerships, Product, Community, and Data to ensure smooth implementations and solve rollout issues.
  • Monitor and report on adoption metrics, outcomes, and impact stories at the community level.
  • Localize educational content and communication to fit cultural and language contexts.
  • Identify challenges or risks early, proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Manage daily coordination with state education officials and organize progress reviews and planning sessions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in K-12 education, especially within government schools or large programs.
  • Background managing edtech initiatives through NGOs, CSR programs, EdTech firms, or government collaborations.
  • Deep knowledge of NEP 2020 with focus on digital education, foundational learning, and enhancing teacher skills.
  • Fluent communication skills in English and Telugu, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to function effectively in cross-functional and remote teams.
  • Skilled at managing multiple stakeholders and timelines concurrently.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail orientation, and proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Adaptability, creativity, comfort with ambiguity, and enthusiasm for growth and innovation.
