Project Manager - Data Centre & Hyperscale

About the Role

A well-established technology infrastructure and data centre delivery company is looking to hire a skilled Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale Hyperscale and Data Centre projects across Germany and the broader EMEA area. This role involves direct client interaction and accountability for ensuring projects are completed safely, punctually, within budget, and to high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple infrastructure projects involving Data Centres and Hyperscale developments across the EMEA region.
• Serve as the main liaison between clients and project teams throughout all phases of the project.
• Oversee financial aspects including budgeting, forecasting, profit and loss, and provide comprehensive financial reports.
• Prepare monthly project status reports for clients and internal teams.
• Coordinate project schedules, resource allocation, and supply chain management.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite delivery teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Guarantee that all projects comply with safety regulations and are delivered on time and within the defined budget.
• Supervise project documentation including handover materials and warranty procedures.
• Ensure adherence to contractual commitments, quality assurance standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Provide leadership and guidance to Site Managers, Supervisors, and the overall project team.
• Foster strong client relationships to sustain high customer satisfaction.
• Implement continuous improvements in project execution processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrable project management experience in data centre environments, telecommunications infrastructure, or structured cabling.
• Track record of successfully delivering large-scale Data Centre or Hyperscale projects.
• Expertise in comprehensive project planning and end-to-end lifecycle management.
• Exceptional skills in client interaction and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with managing project budgets, financial forecasting, and detailed reporting.
• Capability to coordinate numerous simultaneous workstreams including suppliers and project teams.
• Strong leadership qualities with effective personnel management skills.
• Proven ability to conduct professional presentations to clients.
• Experience overseeing subcontractors and third-party suppliers.
• Possession of CSCS or equivalent health and safety certification.
• Willing and able to travel extensively throughout Germany and the EMEA region.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in managing projects involving Physical Security systems, LAN, Wi-Fi, or Network Infrastructure.
• Formal PRINCE2 project management certification.
• BICSI certification is advantageous.
• Experience preparing operational and financial reports for senior leadership.
• Previous exposure to Hyperscale Data Centre environments is desirable.
