Role Overview

The Production Planner will be accountable for planning and scheduling materials and production so the required resources are available to meet planned demand.

Key Duties

• Coordinate and improve production planning and scheduling across several sites and production lines.
• Create site schedules and production plans based on forecasted demand.
• Estimate future material needs to keep production running smoothly.
• Work to maximize capacity and reduce downtime.
• Align supply planning so materials are available when needed.
• Make sure materials reach production lines on time.
• Manage the transfer and return of finished goods to distribution centers.
• Support customs clearance and shipping activities.
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure stock records remain accurate.
• Be available to attend essential training, team meetings, customer events, or trade shows outside normal working hours, including evenings and weekends when required.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in planning or scheduling within manufacturing, preferably in dairy, FMCG, or a similar industry.
• Strong planning, organization, and time-management skills with careful attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• A proactive, results-focused approach.
• Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment.
• Ability to stay effective under pressure and sound commercial judgment.

Location

This role is based in Pokeno, Waikato District, New Zealand.
