Role Summary

Based in Napier, Hawke's Bay, this position involves supporting production targets by following established systems and procedures. Daily activities include operating machinery and equipment on the production floor, along with interpreting and working from technical diagrams and assembly instructions related to products, systems, or panels.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assembly tasks to create semi-finished or finished products, systems, or panels, including packing when integrated with production lines.
• Utilize manual skills and light hand tools to carry out assembly work.
• Conduct consistent quality tests as part of the defined production process to ensure standards are met.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Work Environment and Team

This role requires onsite presence in Napier and contributes to the Production Manufacturing team. Collaboration with the IPU Leader, Planning and Fulfilment Team, Manufacturing Engineers, and Quality and Production Development Team is essential. The team emphasizes cooperation, effective problem-solving, safety, and maintaining high-quality production output.

Candidate Qualifications

• Strong competence with assembly tools, techniques, and manufacturing processes.
• Several years of experience in assembly operations, adept at reading and interpreting technical diagrams, blueprints, or instructions for assembling systems, panels, or products.
• Skilled in using light hand tools and adhering to standardized operating procedures to maintain quality and efficiency.
• A passion for precision, quality assurance, teamwork, safety practices, and ongoing improvement.
• Formal qualifications or demonstrated experience in manufacturing or related disciplines.
• Fluent comprehension and communication skills in English for technical matters.
• Possession of a valid New Zealand work permit or visa authorizing legal employment.
