Role Overview
Join M-KOPA's Warehouse & Logistics team as a Product Coordinator, a role that bridges program management and product marketing to support scaling digital and financial inclusion across markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Simultaneously manage multiple device-related programs including new product launches, operational improvements, and maintain a rolling 12-month product roadmap covering current, historical, and upcoming devices.
- Maintain detailed program trackers ensuring clear assignment and follow-up on tasks, distributing weekly updates and notifications to stakeholders.
- Coordinate across internal teams and external partners to align workstreams and manage deadlines, identifying risks and escalating blockers promptly.
- Organize meetings, update timelines, and circulate agreed plans to all relevant parties in a timely manner.
- Oversee certification compliance by gathering required documentation from internal teams and partners, maintaining a centralized repository of regulatory and certification documents for devices across multiple markets.
- Assist in creating and maintaining regulatory approval playbooks detailing processes and timelines in active markets including Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa.
- Lead go-to-market planning with sales teams, track local testing requirements and results, and coordinate device locking and firmware test schedules involving integration, regression, security, and certification testing stages.
- Manage the briefing process for marketing on new devices, ensuring accurate product data and messaging to facilitate timely creative and content development.
- Scrutinize marketing materials for accuracy, tone, and brand compliance before external submission. Manage approval processes with external parties like 3PL partners and Google, track feedback cycles, and ensure timely resolution of revisions.
- Maintain live tracking of marketing deliverables per program to monitor briefing, submission, approvals, and potential launch delays.
- Facilitate stakeholder communications including meeting planning, minute-taking, and follow-up across internal teams and external partners.
- Serve as the central contact for ODM approval requests, coordinating internal reviews and providing consolidated feedback to partners.
- Review and approve ODM artwork and labeling materials or escalate for internal clearance ensuring M-KOPA standards before production.
Required Qualifications and Attributes
- Demonstrated program and project management skills with strong follow-up discipline.
- Excellent written communication with the ability to create clear documentation and provide constructive feedback.
- Detail-oriented approach when reviewing marketing and technical materials.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities without losing focus on any.
- Proficient computer skills including use of trackers, presentation tools, and communication platforms.
- Genuine interest in mobile technology fundamentals, including device features, firmware, and security aspects.
- Ability to convey technical concepts effectively to non-technical participants.
Additional Preferred Experience
- Background in supply chain, device management, or a technology-centric environment.
- Experience with product launches and regulatory or certification workflows.
- Familiarity with project management software such as Notion, Asana, or similar platforms.
