Role Overview
We seek a Procurement Specialist responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies for AI infrastructure assets such as servers and GPU units. This role ensures a dependable supply chain to support business expansion, streamlines cost structures, and works closely with business, engineering, and finance teams to back vital AI initiatives and resource planning. The role directly influences the operational efficiency and scalability of AI compute resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and roll out procurement frameworks for AI servers and GPU infrastructure to guarantee steady delivery supporting scaling business demands.
- Enhance and maintain the supplier management processes, oversee the onboarding, assessment, and categorization of suppliers to boost capacity and reduce supply chain risks.
- Keep track of market trends and align procurement strategies with evolving business needs to enhance cost-efficiency and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in business, technical, and financial domains to assist in compute resource planning and project execution efforts.
- Develop data-driven procurement analysis and reporting systems, document workflows and best practices to continuously refine procurement functions.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum four years of experience in procurement related to servers, GPU compute, or AI infrastructure, preferably handling large-scale or complex purchasing projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing supplier relationships and negotiations, capable of steering strategic partnerships and complicated deal structures.
- In-depth knowledge of GPU compute markets and supply chains, with proven ability to strategize under uncertain conditions.
- Strong ability to collaborate across teams and apply business insights to guide projects from conception through execution.
- Proficient in employing data analysis to drive cost-conscious procurement decisions.
- Fluent English communication skills; experience coordinating with international suppliers is an advantage.
