Responsibilities and Expertise

• Over 10 years of practical experience with Confluent Kafka across various distributions including open-source, Confluent, Cloudera, and AWS MSK.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or Scala.
• Deep understanding of event-driven architecture and data streaming design patterns.
• Proven experience deploying Kafka on cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes alongside CI/CD workflows.
• Proficiency in Kafka components including Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, KSQL, Schema Registry, REST Proxy, and Confluent Control Center.
• Hands-on knowledge of Confluent Cloud services, including ksqlDB Cloud and Apache Flink.
• Understanding of stream governance tools covering data lineage, catalogs, audit logs, and role-based access control.
• Relevant Confluent certifications such as Developer, Administrator, or Flink Developer certifications.
• Experience working with Confluent Platform, Cloud managed services, multi-cloud deployments, and deploying Confluent on Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with current data mesh architectures, KRaft migration processes, and contemporary event streaming practices.
• Experience with monitoring solutions including Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
• Exposure to big data ecosystems such as data lakes and data warehouses.
• Fluency in local Singapore languages and Bahasa.
