About the Role
We are seeking a PMO Director for a contract role based in London, with a hybrid working pattern requiring two days per week onsite. The initial contract duration ranges from 6 to 12 months, offering a competitive day rate within IR35 regulations. This position involves spearheading the creation of an Enterprise PMO capability within a major organisation, providing an opportunity to design and implement centralised project management structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the establishment and mobilization of a new Enterprise PMO function.
- Develop and implement governance frameworks, structured reporting, and oversight across various work streams.
- Create an enterprise-wide perspective on delivery demand and resource requirements.
- Analyze and identify gaps, overlaps, and optimisation opportunities in resource allocation across delivery activities.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to guide the evolution and maturity of the PMO function over time.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrable leadership experience at the PMO director level.
- Extensive expertise in establishing or redefining PMO operations.
- Strong skills in governance, planning, reporting, and achieving resource transparency.
- Adept at managing complex stakeholder relationships and coordinating multiple delivery teams.
