Role Overview

We are seeking a Planner to join our building team based in East Meath. This role involves using project planning software to monitor, measure, and report on project progress while coordinating schedules across multiple teams and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Asta.
• Track and evaluate project progress regularly.
• Prepare detailed progress reports.
• Coordinate schedules collaboratively with site management, design teams, and contractors.
• Maintain and understand the contract programme throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee subcontractor progress and ensure timely completion.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project performance.
• Quantify work completed by measuring drawing quantities to aid progress reporting.
• Support the integration of schedules into BIM models for 4D planning.
• Provide strategic guidance aimed at safeguarding and supporting development and growth.
• Collaborate flexibly as part of the team to allocate work as it arises.

Requirements

• A relevant degree or diploma in engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• At least two years of prior planning experience, preferably within building construction and main contractor environments.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and lead times.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to approach building projects from a multi-disciplinary perspective.
• Technical competency with drawings, specifications, bills of quantities (BOQs), critical path programming, and network analysis.
• Capability to work effectively under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and the aptitude to function well within a fully integrated team.
• Attention to detail paired with superior organizational abilities.
• A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
• A full valid driving licence.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland and fluency in English.
