Job description

Job Overview

This position is focused on planning manufacturing activities and positioning materials or Cork-produced products to satisfy customer and business needs. The role is based in Cork, County Cork, Ireland, with a contract duration of 12 months and working 39 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate supply planning, procurement, and production scheduling for assigned products to achieve timely delivery.
  • Ensure on-time supply to customers while managing raw materials and components to support operations.
  • Monitor production planning metrics such as schedule adherence and lead times.
  • Develop production plans in collaboration with the Value Stream partner to guarantee scheduled completion.
  • Analyze demand, consumption, production specifications, plant capacity, and supplier capabilities.
  • Evaluate capacity loads to identify potential manufacturing bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve supply issues.
  • Participate as a key member in new product launch teams.
  • Establish communication plans among stakeholders including customers, commercial teams, suppliers, global supply chain, and site departments.
  • Manage raw material inventory according to entitlement models and seek process improvements.
  • Handle supplier performance monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Contribute to site Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) reviews.
  • Lead or support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives aimed at process enhancement.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards covering environmental health, safety, quality, and financial areas.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification required.
  • Strong capabilities in data analysis and advanced reporting.
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in relevant planning roles.
  • Proficient user of ERP and production planning systems.

Compensation and Contract Details

The role provides a competitive hourly rate. The contract period is 12 months.
