Role Overview
This Singapore-based full-time role focuses on planning and control across production, inventory, process, and shop floor activities. The position also includes MRP integrity, material availability, engineering change coordination, inventory analysis, and data-driven forecasting work.
Key Responsibilities
The role requires hands-on specialization in planning functions such as production control, inventory control, process control, or shop floor control / MRP integrity.
- Maintain the SAP work order release plan so manufacturing and engineering receive materials on time.
- Rework or close out no-charge discrete jobs whenever needed.
- Improve component availability at release through shortage analysis and review work order variances.
- Check MRP runs for accuracy, balance supply against demand, validate master schedule and PDS inputs, and manage engineering change order disposition.
- Prepare progress updates for ECOs and ECRs that are currently open.
- Join floor audits with Finance and help resolve work-in-process issues.
- Attend production meetings and report on material shortage commitment dates.
- Coordinate with engineers on materials needed for special engineering projects and support shop floor control tasks when assigned.
- Use usage patterns and stock data to plan replenishment, maintain target inventory levels, expedite shortages, and forecast spare-parts requirements where needed.
- Investigate material differences, resolve issues when possible, and escalate harder cases to management.
- Help establish new inventory systems or adjust existing ones, and assign expediting work as required.
- Support management of obsolete inventory when necessary.
- Take part in root-cause and corrective-action work based on PCI reports and metrics, including cycle counting activities.
- Participate in or lead project teams to build methods for consolidating and analyzing large structured and unstructured datasets.
- Perform ad hoc statistical and data-mining analysis, create Tableau dashboards or visualizations, and translate business needs into actionable outputs using Python, SQL, or similar tools.
