Job Overview

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging, well-planned lessons tailored to all students’ needs.
• Utilize strong subject expertise and teaching skills to motivate and inspire students.
• Incorporate various teaching techniques and technologies, such as ICT, to enhance learning experiences.
• Adapt lesson content for Students of Determination, English Language Learners, and students with varied abilities.
• Foster independence, confidence, and lifelong learning habits in students.
• Model high standards of academic honesty, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Regularly assess and document student progress, offering constructive feedback to drive improvement.
• Assist students in setting personal learning targets and track their development.
• Prepare written and verbal reports, references, and feedback for individuals and groups.
• Maintain comprehensive records of students’ personal, social, and academic growth.
• Enforce clear behavioral expectations compliant with school policies, encouraging respect and inclusivity.
• Act proactively to safeguard students against abuse, bullying, or discrimination.
• Offer guidance and mentoring to support students’ emotional well-being and personal growth.
• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in alignment with the British National Curriculum.
• Contribute to producing teaching materials and assessment methods while embedding UAE heritage and culture within the curriculum.
• Take responsibility for specific subject areas and collaborate with team members to maintain high-quality teaching.
• Participate actively in ongoing professional development and school initiatives, including after-school activities and community events.
• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant qualification in the subject area with excellent expertise.
• A minimum of two years’ teaching experience within a school environment.
• Strong knowledge of assessment, differentiation, and inclusive teaching practices.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Awareness of safeguarding, child protection, and student well-being protocols.
