Photo Specialist

Job Overview

Deliver an exceptional and welcoming customer experience by offering expert photo services, including digital passport photos, and assisting with customer transactions such as FedEx, Western Union, and online order fulfillment. Manage the photo department’s inventory, supplies, and operational readiness to ensure product availability aligns with customer demands. Promote photo products and services while supporting merchandising efforts and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet customers at the photo counter, proactively identify their needs, and provide tailored photo products and services, ensuring satisfaction by resolving any questions or concerns.
• Exemplify and encourage customer-focused service behaviors among team members, incorporating courteous interpersonal interactions such as eye contact and polite communication.
• Deliver efficient and friendly service within the photo department, including digital passport photo processing and product promotion.
• Recommend appropriate photo merchandise, upgrades, and complementary items to meet customer needs and enhance sales.
• Accurately handle customer transactions including purchases, returns, refunds, and exchanges while adhering to proper cash handling protocols.
• Maintain ownership of inventory management, supply levels, and organization within the photo department, aligning stock with forecasted demand.
• Process and complete online and in-store photo order pickups promptly and accurately to ensure seamless customer experiences.
• Provide customer support for additional services like FedEx and Western Union, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot photo equipment and utilize store technology to support daily operations and high-quality outputs.
• Keep the photo area neat, organized, safe, and visually appealing, and assist with merchandising setups and seasonal displays.
• Support cross-training efforts to ensure team members can cover photo operations during absences for continuous service delivery.
• Follow company policies, asset protection guidelines, and regulatory requirements to ensure safety, security, and compliance.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and undertake other tasks as assigned to support store objectives.
• Participate in required training sessions and complete assigned e-learning modules as directed by management.

Basic Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal English communication (except in Puerto Rico).
• Flexibility to work varying schedules including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of six months’ experience in a retail setting.
• Previous employment with Walgreens is an advantage.
