Role Overview
The Global Service Delivery (GSD) team supports Agoda’s workplace infrastructure and staff connectivity, serving employees across multiple countries. Within GSD, the People Technology team manages HR systems such as Workday to streamline people operations and enhance employee experience.
We seek a People Technology Functional Support Specialist to oversee, maintain, and enhance our Workday environment in the post-implementation phase. This role involves troubleshooting system issues, managing configurations, facilitating business process improvements, and collaborating with various stakeholders including HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver daily operational support and resolve issues within the Workday platform post-go-live.
- Investigate data anomalies, security concerns, system defects, and process disruptions.
- Manage incoming support tickets, integration errors, and user queries to ensure prompt solutions.
- Escalate complex issues appropriately and contribute to root cause analyses for preventive strategies.
- Update and maintain Workday configurations according to evolving business policies and compliance standards.
- Support organizational changes, security roles, notifications, reports, calculated fields, and validations.
- Participate in routine system maintenance, release management, feature adoption, and regression testing.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify and implement improvements increasing efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Document functional designs, business processes, resolutions, and change impacts thoroughly.
- Coordinate various testing phases such as unit, system integration, and user acceptance testing for new features and fixes.
- Ensure data integrity through audits, validations, and compliance with governance standards.
- Support the creation and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and security access reviews.
- Act as a communication bridge between HR, Payroll, Finance, IT teams, and external vendors regarding Workday functionalities and improvements.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, IT, or related discipline.
- Proven experience in supporting Workday systems post-implementation.
- Practical knowledge of Workday modules such as HCM, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Talent, Benefits, Payroll, or Security.
- Strong understanding of Workday business processes, configurations, and tenant management.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional enhancements and troubleshoot effectively.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in both functional and technical Workday support streams.
- Participation in Workday implementation, stabilization, or optimization projects.
- Familiarity with EIB integrations, report writing, calculated fields, and security configurations.
- Experience with Workday release cycles and regression testing.
- Understanding of HR, Payroll, and Finance operational processes.
- Relevant Workday certifications.
- Experience working in global or multi-country corporate environments.
