About Hopper
Hopper aims to become the world’s leading travel platform, supporting its consumer app, website, and B2B business through Hopper Technology Solutions. The company uses large-scale data and machine learning to combine travel services with proprietary fintech offerings that improve transparency, flexibility, and savings for travelers. Hopper has built products that address issues such as price volatility and trip disruptions, helping people travel more confidently and save more.
The platform serves hundreds of millions of travelers worldwide and has continued to expand its global reach. The Hopper app has been downloaded more than 120 million times and is especially popular with younger audiences, with 70% of users coming from Gen Z and millennial groups.
Over time, Hopper has grown beyond being a travel app into a travel fintech provider, commerce platform, and global travel agency supporting some of the world’s largest brands.
Through HTS, the company strengthens partners’ direct channels by integrating fintech products into their sites or powering complete travel portals. Current partners include major names such as Capital One, Nubank, Air Canada, Uber, CommBank, Flair Airlines, and others.
Growth Highlights
- Billions of dollars in travel and travel fintech are sold annually through Hopper and HTS channels.
- Fintech products such as Cancel for Any Reason and Flight Disruption Assistance achieve very strong customer satisfaction because terms are clear and resolutions are immediate and hassle-free.
- Nearly 30% of app customers buy at least one fintech product during a booking, and customers are 1.6 times more likely to buy again when fintech is added to their trip versus booking travel alone.
- HTS now accounts for more than 75% of the business after Hopper expanded its successful fintech offerings into B2B.
- Travel providers such as airlines, hotels, banks, and travel agencies can use HTS to integrate and distribute Hopper’s fintech or travel inventory through their own direct channels.
- One early HTS partnership led to the creation of Capital One Travel, a portal built specifically for cardholders.
