About the Role

Montage Hotels & Resorts is hiring a Painter to support the upkeep of the property’s painted and wallpapered surfaces. The position plays a hands-on part in maintaining the resort’s appearance while also contributing to the broader goals, mission, values, and service standards of the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Plan and organize painting and wallpaper repair work across the property, giving priority to the most urgent needs.
• Help uphold OSHA and safety standards in the paint shop and work areas by following safety rules, keeping areas clean, storing paints and chemicals correctly, using protective gear when needed, and reporting hazards.
• Track and manage paint shop inventory by maintaining standard stock levels for tools and equipment.
• Share status updates and important information with guests, department leaders, and fellow associates as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
• Prior hands-on painting experience.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Preferred Background

• Experience working in a luxury hotel or similar high-end hospitality setting is a strong advantage.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Physical Demands

This role is primarily indoors in a climate-controlled environment, though work may occasionally take place in very hot areas such as laundry or kitchens, as well as outdoors in both hot sun and colder weather down to 40°F. The job involves being on your feet for much of the day, with standing and active movement for up to 4 hours at a time, varying by task and day. It also requires the ability to reach different areas of the resort efficiently, work in tight spaces, bend, stoop, squat, stretch, climb, and perform repetitive motions. Regular lifting of up to 30 lbs. is needed, along with occasional pushing or pulling of carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. The role also requires good grasping ability, writing, sitting, listening, hearing, speaking, visual acuity, near vision, depth perception, and manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment.
