Package Driver

About the Role

UPS is hiring a package driver to handle pickup and delivery work in a busy, physically active environment. The role involves transporting parcels to and from residential and commercial addresses with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and dependable customer service. This position is based at the Tullamarine depot in the Greater Melbourne Area.

Key Responsibilities

The driver will be responsible for collecting and delivering packages, following safe driving practices, and maintaining a high standard of service for customers. The work requires regular lifting, lowering, and carrying of parcels while operating in a fast-moving setting.

• Pick up and deliver packages to residential and commercial locations.
• Use approved UPS safe-driving procedures at all times.
• Work safely while driving to and from delivery destinations.
• Provide efficient and reliable customer service throughout each route.

Qualifications

Candidates should be able to handle the physical demands of the job and meet the requirements for operating a vehicle. A professional appearance and strong customer-facing communication are also important.

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. / 32 kgs.
• Compliance with UPS appearance standards.
• Strong customer interaction and driving ability.
• Must meet local age and operational rules for driving a vehicle.
• Available to work 5 days per week.
• Ability to operate a manual vehicle.
