About the Role
Join Maersk as an Operations Excellence Partner and play an integral role in advancing logistics through Operational Excellence, Lean methodologies, and technology-facilitated improvements. This position involves collaborating closely with business leaders and operational teams to identify inefficiencies, diagnose root causes, challenge current workflows, and foster a culture dedicated to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the Maersk Lean Operating System across Australia and New Zealand.
- Drive process improvement projects utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and structured problem-solving techniques.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from leadership and frontline to discover improvement areas, tackle complex operational issues, and achieve concrete results.
- Convert operational challenges into actionable, scalable, and digitally enabled solutions.
- Build organizational capabilities in continuous improvement via coaching, training, facilitation, and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure adoption of new methods to embed sustainable outcomes and long-term business value.
- Leverage automation, data analytics, digital tools, and AI to enhance operational transparency, reduce manual tasks, and replicate successful solutions.
Candidate Profile
- Proven expertise in logistics, supply chain, transportation, freight forwarding, or third-party logistics sectors.
- Hands-on background in executing automation, digital transformation, or improvement projects backed by data insights.
- Advanced understanding of Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence frameworks, including holding a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification and applying these methodologies to deliver tangible operational benefits.
- Strong analytical skills to translate operational problems into practical technology-enabled solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, facilitation, and change management capabilities.
- A cooperative, people-centered approach to engage both executives and frontline employees effectively.
- A strong commitment to driving transformation with measurable and lasting impact.
