Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Operations and Discipline Support Staff member to assist with the management of student discipline and safety within the school environment. This role involves direct interaction with students, parents, and staff, supporting various disciplinary and safety activities to maintain a positive and secure school atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Discipline Team in effectively managing student behavior and discipline matters.
- Conduct house visits and follow up communication with parents to address student concerns.
- Oversee students serving in-house detention and those requiring additional support and supervision.
- Patrol school grounds to monitor student conduct and ensure safety protocols are maintained.
- Support case management efforts aimed at students considered at risk, aiding their progress and welfare.
- Carry out thorough investigations of student incidents, preparing detailed reports as necessary.
- Perform spot checks on students’ uniforms, hair, and overall appearance to ensure compliance with school standards.
- Provide discipline support during school events and functions to uphold order and safety.
- Supervise and engage with students who have additional needs, offering necessary support and guidance.
- Participate actively in student management meetings to coordinate disciplinary efforts and interventions.
- Carry out any other relevant tasks or ad-hoc duties assigned by the school.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least three years of experience working within enforcement agencies, bringing a solid background in discipline management.
- Proficiency in English communication, including the ability to write clear and accurate incident reports.
- Prior experience in case management and student discipline is highly desirable.
- Comfortable working with young students and skilled at building positive relationships with both students and school personnel.
- Experience in primary school settings and student management will be considered a strong advantage.
- Service-oriented mindset, with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and information and communication technology skills, including data entry and incident logging capabilities.
