Program Overview

Join our 15-month Career Progression Program tailored for mid-career professionals transitioning into advanced biopharmaceutical manufacturing. This initiative offers a local attachment to Pfizer's Singapore facility, aimed at developing skilled talents to meet growing industry needs.

  • The program is designed for individuals with no prior experience in biopharmaceuticals and who have graduated at least two years ago.
  • Training allowances are provided and are exempt from CPF contributions.

Role Summary

The Operational Effectiveness Specialist will be based at the Tuas API manufacturing site, a strategic hub within Pfizer's network. Reporting to the Operational Effectiveness Lead, you will champion Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to promote operational excellence and sustain Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead coaching initiatives and build six sigma and lean capabilities among colleagues through structured training and certification programs.
  • Support and guide Green Belts and Yellow Belts in their continuous improvement projects.
  • Measure and analyze site performance using balanced scorecards to pinpoint major loss sources for improvement.
  • Manage and facilitate problem-solving sessions targeting key operational challenges.
  • Assist in goal-setting aligned with site objectives and drive adherence to process-centric team targets.
  • Oversee projects aimed at stabilizing the new manufacturing site ensuring achievement of long-term goals.
  • Ensure flawless execution of business excellence initiatives by monitoring metrics and managing escalations when needed.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field, with experience ranging from 0 to 6 years.
  • Proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders and foster alignment.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with peers and leaders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic and ambiguous environments.
  • Decisiveness in issue resolution and a proactive mindset geared towards success.
  • Comfort with digital tools to enhance interaction and accelerate processes.
  • Strong analytical thinking and exceptional organizational/time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree.
  • Familiarity with cGMP standards and manufacturing protocols.
  • Experience with data analysis software.
  • Willingness to adapt and learn emerging skills and technologies.
