About the Role

This opportunity is offered on behalf of a partner company located in the United States. The Onboarding Specialist is essential in providing a smooth, compliant onboarding journey for new employees joining a mission-driven care organization. This remote role encompasses managing the full onboarding lifecycle, including documentation accuracy, regulatory compliance, and system accessibility for new hires.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the entire onboarding process for assigned candidates, from preparation to finalization.
Ensure compliance with corporate, federal, and state employment regulations for all new employees.
Develop and maintain employee profiles across various platforms to guarantee consistent and up-to-date data.
Conduct employment verification procedures such as background checks, eligibility verification, I-9 form completion, Social Security validation, certification confirmation, and other necessary screenings.
Manage applicant information within applicant tracking systems, verifying that all documents are complete, accurate, and securely stored.
Review and process employment paperwork with strict confidentiality and high-quality standards.
Safeguard sensitive records including employee files and protected health information in adherence to organizational policies.
Communicate onboarding updates and relevant policy changes to managers and stakeholders.
Engage in team meetings, training, and company initiatives as required.
Support additional administrative and operational tasks as assigned.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

Ideal candidates possess a keen eye for detail and empathy, paired with experience in onboarding, recruitment, human resources, or administration.
A bachelor's degree in business, psychology, communications, human resources, or a related discipline is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
Prior experience in recruiting, onboarding, HR operations, or employee administration is advantageous.
Comfortable using applicant tracking and onboarding software platforms.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interactions with applicants, managers, and team members.
Demonstrates professionalism, maturity, empathy, and teamwork capabilities.
Strong organizational aptitude with superior attention to detail and the capacity to juggle multiple priorities efficiently.
Has the ability to handle confidential and sensitive personal information with discretion.
Self-driven, dependable, and competent at working autonomously in a remote setting.
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Capable of maintaining productivity and organization predominantly during sedentary computer work.
