Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer L3 based in Nagpur, responsible for advanced network engineering, operational support, and architecture in large distributed environments. Candidates with 8+ years of expertise are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 technical support for complex issues across network, security, wireless, SD-WAN, and cloud infrastructures.
• Design, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, WLAN, Data Center, Cloud, and Security solutions.
• Lead critical incident resolution, root cause analysis, upgrades, migrations, and technology refreshes.
• Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, and Application teams to ensure system availability and performance.
• Maintain and update network documentation, adhere to standards, and refine operational processes.

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus series (9K,7K,5K,2K), Catalyst, ISR/ASR routers, and other vendor hardware like Aruba, HP, Juniper, Dell.
• Expertise in routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN, EVPN, STP, HSRP/VRRP, Multicast, QoS, PBR, and load balancing.
• Proficient with wireless technologies: Cisco WLC, Catalyst Wireless, Aruba, Meraki; including WLAN design, RF troubleshooting, AP deployment, and wireless security.
• Experience managing load balancers (F5 BIG-IP LTM/GTM) and WAN optimization tools (Riverbed, Cisco WAAS).
• Strong knowledge of network security appliances from Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, plus VPNs, NAT, IPS/IDS, URL filtering, SSL inspection, and segmentation.
• Practical application of Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) and Fortinet SD-WAN deployments.
• Familiarity with NAC and DDI solutions such as Cisco ISE (802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, device profiling) and Infoblox DNS/DHCP/IPAM management.
• Cloud networking experience including AWS, Azure, hybrid cloud with understanding of VPC/VNET, Transit Gateway, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, and cloud security controls.
• Competent with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, and diagnostic tools including Wireshark, packet captures, SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog, NTP.

Process & Soft Skills

• Good grasp of ITIL methodologies covering Incident, Problem, Change, and Release management.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication skills, and ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
• Capable of independent work in a global 24x7 support environment and mentoring junior engineers.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, NSE4/5/7, F5 Certified Administrator, Aruba Certifications.
• Cloud networking certifications for AWS or Azure.
• ITIL Foundation certification.

Additional Skills (Nice to Have)

• Knowledge of Cisco ACI, Data Center technologies.
• Understanding of emerging frameworks like SASE, ZTNA.
• Experience with network automation tools such as Python and Ansible.
• Familiarity with IPv6 and network orchestration solutions.
