About the Role
The Senior MES Recipe Author is tasked with executing System/MES recipe modifications and overseeing daily issues related to the support of Electronic Batch Records Weigh and Dispense and Equipment Management modules using the Emerson Syncade MES platform at a prominent multinational biotech manufacturing site in Cork.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve incidents promptly by maintaining the incident queue via Service Now.
- Lead Change Control procedures consistent with Quality Standards and Practices.
- Troubleshoot and analyze problems; develop solutions or propose improvements.
- Create high-quality, well-documented configurations that ensure maintainability.
- Prioritize support aligned with project timelines and conduct testing on new MES recipes and updates.
- Prepare computer system validation documents in compliance with site protocols and GMP standards.
- Adhere strictly to Environmental Health and Safety policies and contribute to incident investigations.
- Uphold quality control principles in pharmaceutical manufacturing with integrity and collaborate effectively within and beyond the MES Team.
- Adapt to future requirements including providing support outside standard working hours.
Qualifications and Experience
- Three to five years of experience supporting IT applications, including incident management, troubleshooting, change control, documentation, test case creation, and system/integration testing.
- Experience in implementing IT application changes in GMP-regulated settings is preferred.
- Proficiency in MES recipe authoring and related knowledge.
- Familiarity with programming and Visual Basic, including configuration management and code deployment skills.
- Experience with MS SQL Server is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with business users to communicate needs clearly and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven cross-functional relationship building capabilities.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented professional capable of working across multiple business and functional teams.

Work Model
- This position operates onsite at the client's facility with a hybrid work pattern of three days per week on site.
