Role Purpose

This position sits within the sales function and focuses on strengthening product visibility at retail outlets. The merchandiser is responsible for improving on-shelf presence, supporting in-store sampling or promotional activities when needed, following planograms for on- and off-shelf displays, and promptly informing the pre-seller of any deviations. The role also requires sharing market intelligence that can help identify and act on selling opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit designated outlets each day according to the journey plan issued by the supervisor.
• Merchandise SSFL products across the assigned stores in shelves, stands, floor displays and other access points.
• Place point-of-sale materials beside the relevant SSFL displays wherever required.
• Ensure that all display locations follow the approved planograms.
• Use FIFO stock rotation and remove products that do not meet quality standards.
• Keep SSF products on shelves clean, fresh and well-presented at all times.
• Observe competitor activity and share updates.
• Flag any mismatch between outlet arrangements and agreed terms to the assigned OT customer or outlet.
• Submit a daily update to the supervisor covering the previous day’s work.
• Take part in sampling or redemption campaigns whenever requested.
• Maintain a neat personal appearance and professional conduct consistent with the Frito Lay code of conduct.

Requirements

• A valid driving licence is mandatory.
• The candidate should be service-oriented and comfortable working with customers at store level.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are required.

Additional Information

When needed, the role includes participating in in-store sampling and promotional activities. The merchandiser is expected to keep the pre-seller informed with current market information so that opportunities can be used effectively. The role is based in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is a full-time onsite position.
