Key Responsibilities
- Design individual parts and assemblies, selecting suitable materials and manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate with departments such as manufacturing, planning, purchasing, and program management to ensure projects comply with safety standards, regulations, and timelines.
- Create and review 3D models for components and assemblies using CATIA software.
- Develop and verify 2D drawings for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies in CATIA.
- Develop and improve designs to meet performance targets regarding cost, weight, and quality in line with customer requirements, identifying optimization opportunities within components and assemblies.
- Ensure all designs are optimized for manufacturing and assembly processes.
Candidate Profile
- Successfully completed technical studies in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or an equivalent qualification such as a technical vocational training.
- Professional experience in product development or modification within an internationally operating manufacturing company.
- Work experience preferably in design-focused environments such as engineering offices.
- Ideally, initial exposure to the aviation sector.
- Familiarity with standards, technical drawings, and testing requirements.
- Strong expertise in Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is mandatory.
- Knowledge in metalworking processes (milling, forging, etc.) is advantageous.
- Result-oriented and proactive approach with a high degree of responsibility and independence.
- Enthusiasm for working in an innovative and dynamic setting.
- Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken.
