Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-focused, analytics-oriented, and self-driven Marketing Intern to join our Marketing, Digital & Promotions team. This position suits candidates who are passionate about music and eager to explore how data can shape strategic storytelling and audience engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and consolidate performance data relating to music releases, campaigns, and digital platforms.
• Assist in generating and distributing daily and weekly performance reports for various marketing functions.
• Analyze metrics from digital service providers, radio, and social platforms to uncover trends and growth opportunities.
• Help develop and sustain internal dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools.
• Provide analytical and administrative support for ongoing campaigns and special projects as needed.
• Monitor real-time campaign results, emphasizing notable insights, anomalies, and potential for growth.
• Occasionally assist with content production and basic editing tasks.
• Maintain awareness of current music, digital trends, and platforms resonating with audiences.

Qualifications

• Exceptional attention to detail with effective time management and organizational skills.
• Comfortable handling and structuring large datasets clearly and systematically.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and basic data analysis.
• An analytical mindset with enthusiasm for performance metrics and data-driven narratives.
• Able to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong communicator willing to collaborate across teams.
• Deep interest in music, pop culture, and the evolving digital ecosystem.

Additional Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of digital streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube) and social media analytics.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio or Tableau.
• Basic skills in photo and video content editing.

Compensation and Terms

This part-time role offers hourly pay at $18.47, compliant with Santa Monica's minimum wage as of the posting date. The position allows for up to 35 hours each week but does not include extra benefits or compensation.
