Role Overview

We are seeking a part-time Marketing & Communications Coordinator to contribute to various marketing and communications efforts including content operations, website upkeep, research, email marketing, PR assistance, and daily marketing tasks. This role involves collaboration with the marketing team to implement numerous projects within a dynamic startup environment, providing valuable experience in marketing, communications, PR, and content creation.

Responsibilities

Conduct research on current trends, news, and discussions about AI, technology, media, entertainment, and digital rights.
Assist in maintaining the website, publishing blogs, and managing content.
Organize and manage marketing and communication assets such as blogs, images, transcripts, and trackers.
Monitor and summarize press mentions, competitor activities, and key announcements in the industry.
Support marketing campaigns and communication initiatives.
Design straightforward visual materials using tools like Canva or Figma.
Help prepare marketing collateral for product launches, events, and campaigns.
Maintain project trackers, documentation, and internal resources related to marketing.
Review and perform quality checks on marketing content prior to publication.
Assist with ongoing marketing and communications workflow tasks across the department.

Required Qualifications

Excellent writing and communication capabilities.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Interest in marketing, communications, PR, journalism, or related fields.
Comfortable managing digital documents, trackers, and shared folders.
Proactive, curious, and eager to learn.
Ability to adapt efficiently within a fast-changing environment with evolving priorities and roles.

Familiarity with Google Workspace, Notion, Canva, Figma, or project management software.
Experience via coursework, internships, student organizations, or personal projects in marketing, communications, or content creation.
