Job Overview
The Manager Special Projects & Performance will be integrated within the regional Chief Operating Office. This pivotal role focuses on steering strategic initiatives, managing business performance, and ensuring cross-functional project execution to accelerate growth and improve organizational efficiency. Close collaboration with the COO and senior leadership is essential to transform strategy into measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain comprehensive oversight of COO functional KPIs across multiple departments and geographic markets, proactively identifying risks and opportunities ahead of time.
- Implement turnaround strategies to promptly address variances in performance metrics.
- Develop and sustain insightful performance reporting frameworks that go beyond data aggregation to generate actionable insights for senior management.
- Lead Objective and Key Results (OKR) and budget planning cycles, ensuring synchronization between departments and across regions.
- Monitor OKR and budget adherence, analyze discrepancies, and initiate corrective actions with timely risk flagging.
- Manage governance, scheduling, and improvements in financial planning processes to align spending with strategic goals.
- Drive strategic planning by converting company vision into actionable annual and multi-year plans, including competitive landscape assessments.
- Oversee integrated business planning from strategy through budgeting and OKRs, facilitating clear ownership, timelines, and accountability mechanisms.
- Define organizational KPIs, track the implementation of strategic programs, and support executive reporting to boards and senior leaders.
- Coordinate complex cross-functional projects with operations, product & technology teams across multiple markets, ensuring alignment from leadership down to operational teams.
- Champion AI integration within performance teams to automate manual reporting, speed up analysis, and boost overall productivity and quality.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in strategy, consulting, operations, or performance management, preferably within technology companies or dynamic consumer sectors.
- Demonstrated capacity for thought leadership that fosters innovation and significant impact.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a clear orientation towards data-informed decision-making.
- Expertise in managing diverse stakeholders, fostering cross-functional teamwork, and communicating complex ideas succinctly and effectively.
- Preferred experience in financial modeling and profit and loss (PnL) analysis.
- Proficiency with SQL, BigQuery, Looker, and Tableau is highly desirable.
