Role Overview
As a Manager of Social Media, you will be the strategic owner for specific titles within the Paramount+ social media team. This includes crafting and executing comprehensive social strategies that reflect marketing goals while engaging fans through innovative campaigns tailored for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube. Collaborating closely with marketing, creative, publicity teams, and external stakeholders, you will bring content and talent to life on social channels with fresh, data-backed ideas and creative oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop thoughtful, data-informed social campaign strategies leveraging platform-specific creativity and ongoing fan interaction.
- Manage social content calendars for assigned titles using Airtable, coordinating both launch and continuous publishing activities.
- Spot and leverage cultural trends to authentically integrate intellectual property, amplifying earned media and enhancing fan engagement.
- Continuously optimize content and formats based on social analytics and evolving industry best practices.
- Generate and oversee talent- and footage-driven content, collaborating with producers and editors throughout production and post-production stages.
- Engage directly with talent and executive producers to pitch creative concepts and social approaches.
- Work synergistically with cross-functional teams across marketing disciplines to ensure cohesive campaign execution.
- Lead brainstorming initiatives to innovate new social content, steering projects from conception through successful launch.
- Supervise paid social creative approvals, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and delivery timelines.
- Mentor social media coordinators in daily operations, content scheduling, and creative growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or comparable experience preferred.
- Minimum of five years’ experience encompassing social media, digital marketing, television, or entertainment industries.
- Proven success developing and managing cutting-edge social/digital marketing campaigns.
- Skilled in community building tactics and engagement growth.
- Strong proficiency with social media content creation and strategy across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and X.
- Experienced in using Airtable or similar asset management platforms.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Slack tools.
- Additional preferred skills include deep knowledge of emerging social platforms, excellent project management abilities handling multiple titles simultaneously, superior verbal and written communication, insight into scripted television production and marketing cycles, and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this New York-based position is $85,000 to $100,000 annually, contingent upon location, experience, and qualifications.
