Key Responsibilities
- Revise and enhance Operational Risk Management (ORM) policies to ensure alignment with Capital Market Authority Prudential Rules (Pillar 2/3).
- Standardize risk taxonomies covering categories such as Fraud, ICT, Process, and Legal, alongside consistent scoring systems.
- Develop and update risk registers across all departments, facilitating workshops with business units to identify risks and map controls.
- Create visual heatmaps depicting inherent vs. residual risk levels using 5x5 matrices.
- Build Key Risk Indicator (KRI) libraries with defined thresholds and establish Key Control Indicators (KCI) to monitor control effectiveness.
- Maintain a loss database recording operational losses and near-miss incidents; conduct root cause analyses to understand failures and implement corrective actions.
- Act as a second line of defense by challenging and validating risk assessments, performing control testing with an emphasis on IT background, and back-testing registers against incident logs.
- Prepare semi-annual operational risk dashboards for reporting to the Risk Committee.
- Conduct capacity-building initiatives to train staff on incident reporting and risk register updates.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 10 to 12 years of relevant experience in operational risk management.
- Proficiency in Arabic is required.
- Experience with Operational Risk Systems is essential; familiarity with BenchMatrix Risk Nucleus System is advantageous.
