Role Overview
This is a key leadership position covering the full employee lifecycle. The role focuses on strong HR operations across onboarding, PRO and visa handling, payroll, benefits, employee relations, audits, and team leadership. It also involves supporting HR digitization and helping the function align with the organization’s broader principles of safety, sustainability, and customer focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete onboarding journey, including PRO-related processes, and keep the induction material current.
- Review vendor performance annually and handle escalations from stakeholders during employee deployments.
- Run We Care meetings and Gemba walks to support employee welfare.
- Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives aimed at improving retention and reducing attrition.
- Update HR policies and procedures and ensure clear communication to all employees.
- Conduct awareness sessions and prepare related internal communications.
- Handle employee relations matters, resolve disputes, and close Zoho escalations.
- Support decisions for certain DC cases and ensure cases are concluded appropriately.
- Oversee payroll, end-of-service processing, and benefits administration.
- Approve SRF requests and sign employee letters such as salary revision, promotion, service, and request letters in a timely manner.
- Manage end-of-service escalations and resolve them efficiently.
- Approve work-related injury treatment cases and coordinate yearly insurance renewals.
- Work with insurers on medically critical cases and make final calls on medically unfit cases.
- Ensure timely approval of employee requests and all invoice types in Fusion.
- Act as the main contact point for escalated employee queries involving authorities and leadership, while maintaining labor law compliance.
- Lead internal and external audit activities and ensure findings are addressed and closed.
- Roll out annual performance appraisals and finalize payout decisions.
- Coordinate employee learning and development initiatives.
- Recommend and implement HR digitization and automation improvements.
- Partner with IT on system enhancements and provide final approval for relevant IT project go-aheads.
- Manage, coach, and evaluate HR team members while supporting their performance and development.
- Drive special projects, review HR metrics and management reports, improve processes, and strengthen the employee experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Professional HR certifications such as CHRP or SHRM-CP are strongly preferred.
- Previous managerial experience in HR Operations is required.
- Experience in a large-scale or diversified business environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of payroll, benefits, employee relations, onboarding, audits, and HR process governance.
- Ability to handle escalations, lead a team, and work across multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with labor law compliance, HR systems, and process improvement is important.
