Role Overview

The Manager, Banking Applications will lead the oversight, administration, and management of BKCL's core banking ecosystem, primarily focusing on the Temenos T24 (Transact) platform and banking applications. This role entails ensuring applications align with product needs, operational workflows, financial management, reporting, and regulatory compliance, delivering secure and scalable banking IT solutions. The manager will collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Credit Operations, Digital Operations, Business Development, and IT teams to translate business needs into technology solutions, while maintaining system governance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct administration, support, optimization, and upkeep of the Temenos T24 core banking system and associated banking applications.
  • Lead implementations, enhancements, and support activities for Temenos across branch offices, ensuring compliance with standards and policies.
  • Ensure optimal system availability, performance, security, and integrity across production, development, UAT, testing, and disaster recovery environments.
  • Manage system configuration, parameter setups, product configurations, interfaces, and integrations according to business and regulatory requirements.

  • Act as primary lead for Temenos T24 applications ensuring support for BKCL products, operational processes, and reporting requirements.

  • Develop roadmaps, policies, standards, and procedures governing banking applications.
  • Lead banking system projects including implementations, upgrades, migrations, integrations, and manage release cycles, testing, and post-deployment support.
  • Manage vendor relationships with Temenos and associated service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, regulatory standards, security protocols, user access controls, business continuity, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Oversee reporting, analytics, dashboarding, and documentation related to banking systems.
  • Promote and uphold safeguarding policies ensuring a secure and respectful workplace environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years supporting and managing banking applications within banking, microfinance, or financial services sectors.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience managing Temenos T24/Transact core banking systems.
  • Proven ability in managing projects involving banking systems upgrades and integrations.
  • Strong vendor and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Experience in SQL database administration and optimizing performance.
